C3 kicked off their 2024-2025 Season 6 with our newest theme of 'Xriss-Xross'. A time to explore the overlapping themes of our lives; an approach to loss in the Black community.
UNC Charlotte 'Ifest'
September 21, 2024
C3 attended the University of North Carolina's annual 'International Festival' representing the country of Brazil with our Brazil Blends choreography. A display of Afro-Brazilian dances and Rio de Janeiro style of Samb No Pé.
Charlotte International Arts Festival
September 21, 2024
C3 toured their 'Brazilian Blends' and 'Urban Blends' choreography to the Charlotte International Festival in Uptown Charlotte. This festival is geared toward generating support and exposure to various cultural art forms, including dance.
Carolina 'DAZE' Festival

Carolina DAZE is a non-profit organization that hosted a fundraising festival at Johnson C. Smith University, a historic HBCU, that aimed to bring awareness and support to the various efforts to engage our youth in our state's democracy through voter registration and community engagement.
Hola CLT 2025
October 5, 2024
C3 returns to one of our favorite annual events at 'Hola CLT'. Every year, C3 partners with a local Title I school in Charlotte and hosts them in the parade representing Cuba and Latin American cultures. For our first time, we exhibited our Brazilian Blends choreography at the festival and are grateful for the opportunity.
Charlotte Ballet
'Middle/High School Festival'

Director and Founder, Lorraine Crittendon (LCritt) has been a Charlotte Ballet Teaching Artist since 2018 and returns to their annual festival to lead cultural dance education classes for the middle and high school students.​

Loose Leaves Fall 2024
November 1-2, 2024
C3 presented their Season 6 creative choreography 'Xriss Xross' an exploration of grief in the Black community and the use of art as an escape from the darkness.
​
LCritt is also the acting and current secretary of the board for the Loose Leaves Legacy Organization.
'New Year's Eve' Celebration
December 31, 2024
Our C3 Sambistas, LCritt and Danielle, bring in the New Year at a private celebration. C3 had much to celebrate and much success to look forward to in 2025.
Dancestry Collaboration

C3's Founder and Director, LCritt, joined with our long time collaborators 'Dancestry' and 'Mufukaworks' for a lifetime celebration. Our three organizations collaborated to support our communities and bring them together in honor of Mama 'Eddies' Mufuka; mother of Elsie Mufuka.
